Surgical removal of one lesion + histopathology
Surgical excision of a single skin lesion with simultaneous submission of the tissue for histopathological examination. The procedure is performed by a dermatologist in an outpatient setting.

- 1 procedure; follow-up visit for suture removal and histopathology results
- Physical activity
- Limit physical activity until suture removal (7-14 days); protect the wound from getting wet
- Indications
- Skin lesions requiring histopathological verification: atypical moles, dermoscopically suspicious lesions, skin cancers
- Contraindications
- Coagulation disorders (requiring consultation), anticoagulation therapy (dose adjustment needed in coordination with the treating physician), active infections at the treatment site
