
Dominika Kwiatkowska
Specialist dermatologist-venereologist, aesthetic medicine physician and laser therapist.
Education
Graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at Wroclaw Medical University and the postgraduate programme in Cosmetology and Aesthetic Medicine for Physicians at KWSPZ. She completed her specialisation training at the Dermatology Clinic of the Fryderyk Chopin University Clinical Hospital in Rzeszow. For many years she worked as an adjunct professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Rzeszow, teaching students of the medical programme. She also gained clinical experience at international institutions, including in Switzerland during a fellowship funded by the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), where she focused on investigating the influence of gut microbiota on skin diseases.
Research
In 2022, she was awarded a doctorate in medical sciences and health sciences with distinction for her research on new directions in the diagnosis and therapy of melanoma. She is the author of numerous publications in national and international scientific journals in dermatology and oncology, including chapters in specialist textbooks with a combined IF>70. She is co-author and laureate of a scientific grant from the Subcarpathian Innovation Centre on the clinical efficacy of photodynamic therapy for precancerous skin conditions. Her scientific work has been recognised with numerous awards, including the prestigious Amber Needle Award (IADE 2024), the Nicolas Simon Eastern European Experimental Dermatology Collegiality Diploma, awards from the Polish Dermatological Society, and the Michael Hornstein Memorial Scholarship granted by the EADV.
