Diagnostic patch tests with the Polish basic series of 30 allergens. Tests are applied to the skin of the back and read after 48 and 96 hours. They allow identification of contact allergens responsible for recurring skin changes.
Indications
Suspected contact allergy, recurring allergic contact dermatitis, hand eczema, recurrent eczematous skin changes of unclear origin
Contraindications
Active widespread skin lesions on the back, systemic immunosuppressive therapy, pregnancy, recent intensive sun exposure
Physical activity
Avoid intense sweating, bathing, and sun exposure on the back area for the test duration
