Acne

Photodynamic therapy for acne involves the application of a photosensitiser to the skin followed by light activation. It reduces sebum production, destroys bacteria, and accelerates lesion healing. The treatment is performed in an individually selected combined protocol.

Recommended number of sessions
3-6 sessions at intervals determined individually by the physician
Physical activity
Protect the treated area from direct sunlight for 48 hours; avoid swimming pools and saunas until healing
Indications
Moderate to severe acne vulgarisAcne resistant to standard therapyAcne with active inflammatory lesions
Contraindications
Pregnancy, allergy to the photosensitiser, porphyria, photosensitivity disorders
