Smooth skin biopsy with submission of tissue for immunopathological examination (immunofluorescence). The test allows identification of immunoglobulin and complement deposits in the skin.

Indications
Diagnostics of blistering diseases (pemphigoid, pemphigus), lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, dermatitis herpetiformis
Contraindications
Coagulation disorders, anticoagulation therapy without consultation, active skin infections at the biopsy site
Anesthesia
Local (infiltration anaesthesia)
Physical activity
Protect the biopsy site; limit exercise for a few days
Recommended number of sessions
1 procedure; immunopathology results within 2-4 weeks
